Six Sentence Sunday

Another six from my book, Double the Trouble.  But first a little background on the book.

Kate Wesley left Twinsburg, Ohio five years ago after her fiancé jilted her. Now she’s back, happy and content with her single life. She doesn’t need men to fulfill her dreams, she has her florist shop.

Widower, Mark Westfield wasn’t interested in women. He had  five-year old twins to raise, and they took all his time and energy. But Kate sparked something in him he hadn’t expected to feel again.

Adam Shaffer left Kate two days before the wedding. Left a note and took off to Las Vegas. Biggest mistake of his life. But now they were both back, and he aimed to win Kate back.

My six:
“The least you could do is give me a chance to explain. Not that I’m sure I could. I’m not sure, even now, why I took off. Cold feet, I guess.”

Kate trembled at his touch. A spark of something familiar tumbled in her stomach.

Ooh. If she ends up taking him back, I sure hope she makes him grovel first. ;)

Cold feet, how lame is that? I'd flip the pages, see how it plays out. Smooth and lovely lines.

I hope she knocks him upside the head....

nice six, yeah cold feet is kinda lame...something tells me there is more to his leaving! I hope there is more to it, anyway, that way she can forgive him and they can have a HEA. Otherwise he's a jerk and doesn't deserve the forgiveness hehe I'm intrigued and and want to read more.

I'd slap him for the old cliche of 'cold feet.' Like that makes it ok, grrr!

Sounds like he has a lot of making up to do. What a jerk!

Sounds like another winner, Roseanne! Sounds like she should just punch the guy in the nose! How reliable is someone who leaves two days before a wedding?

Sounds like a really engrossing story. Thanks for commenting on my blog, too!
